Pemphero's story

In 2012, Pemphero received her first meal from Many Hands Many Meals in her village in Malawi. She remembers it clearly—not just because the food was nutritious, but because it brought hope, energy, and the ability to concentrate in school. It meant no more headaches from hunger. It meant showing up to class ready to learn. That meal was the first step in changing her life.
Today, Pemphero is in Minnesota—sharing her story and volunteering at one of our food-packing events. Her journey came full circle, and it’s because of people like you.
