Nate Gustafson visited an orphanage in Uganda that works with orphaned street children. After visiting with the staff and interacting with the children in the program, he came back to the states with a quest. The mission only had the capability to feed the street children two days a week and were praying for a way to feed them a meal seven days a week.
Clearwater Middle School
Students from Clearwater Middle School chose to pack meals at Kids Against Hunger- West Metro from a long list of activities on their Exploratory Day. They began their adventure by exploring other areas of Excelsior. First arriving at the wrong location and then dodging all of the construction to find us. The good news is they persevered and found us. Once here, they got down to business scooping, weighing and sealing. Even with a late start, they still managed to pack 9,720 meals! There were a number of diferent choices the students could have made that day, but for the 9,720 children who receive this food, they are thrilled they chose Kids Against Hunger and we are too!
KAH-WM thanks them for their time and donations.
